I HATE RPM-Based Linux Distros, Especially SUSE

Comments

I think the trick is adding the correct repos in installation sources.. after that it's really easy. Also, I'm beginning to like the terminal as a way to install. On SUSE 10.2, it works really well, even adding the application to your list of "start menu" (unlike 10.1). Besides, YAST works pretty well in SUSE 10.2 also. see my del.icio.us links for some useful stuff :-)
Peace out..
I have to agree with you here. I've tried everything from Gentoo to SUSE to Ubuntu and tend to prefer working with APT. I know it's a matter of preference, but in my experience, apart from enabling all of the default Gutsy repos, I tend to just need another 4 or 5 to get most of what I need. That's running compiz-fusion, awn, etc.; either way, it's nice to have alternatives period. I love linux!
